National Lipstick Day 2018

Happy National Lipstick Day!

I personally don’t wear lipstick all that often, as I have a hard time finding some favorites that last and don’t make my lips look all flaky.  I can say, however, that getting the perfect lip isn’t all too difficult to achieve!

First, make sure you exfoliate! Since I’m always in a rush, I use a travel-sized soft toothbrush. I like the little travel ones that I can close up and pop in my lipstick compartment of my make-up bag. If you want to treat-yo-self, there are some amazing lip scrubs out there. I really like the one by Hanalei.

Next, I use a clear lip liner (I’m lazy and like the “one size fits all” aspect of it, since I’m not doing fancy lips as a toddler mom, I just want to contain my color).

When it comes to the lipstick itself, I usually am on a budget so I am all for finding and trying dupes or drugstore options. Hands down, my favorite shocked me… guys, it was Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color. Seriously.  It’s less than $10, the pigment is great and it really does stay on for most of my day. Apply and you’re ready to go!

My fav: 906D “Wine Room”
