Amador Brewing’s Picnic in July

Last night, I had the pleasure of attending Amador Brewing’s first annual Picnic in July. Held at Sutter Creek’s historic Italian Picnic Grounds, this event hosted local breweries, wineries, and food trucks. There were 2 live bands that took turns playing each of their stages, as well as bingo, cornhole, bocci ball, and a cute kiddie gazebo for the littles to keep busy. I have family and cousins all around these parts, so it made for a fun “Hey! Haven’t seen you in ages!” kind of night, it’s always part of the charm here.

I have never been a beer drinker, so luckily there were some local wineries in attendance for me to enjoy some adult beverages. The 21+ crowd got a great stainless steel event cup with their paid admission that will allow them to receive special discounts at the local breweries when you bring it in until the next year’s event.

My father and I with our event cups. He enjoyed Amador Brewing’s Kölsh, while I enjoyed Prospect Cellar’s Golddigger Red Blend.

Bug loved the live music and running amok with the other kids, as well as getting to play with her Mimi and Papa (her names for my parents instead of Grandma and Grandpa).  I don’t think I’ve seen my dad chase a little one for that amount of time!

Enjoying some snacks while the band played!

I thoroughly enjoyed Saucy Lito’s food truck. I had the garlic parmesan boneless wings with their bacon cheddar fries and it was delicious! (I don’t like spicy, either so this was a great option… I know, I’m a picky eater)

Such a sweet crew working too! Be sure to follow the Sacramento area food truck @saucylitos!

An amazing combo, if I may say so myself. Garlic parmesan boneless wings and bacon cheddar fries.

For a first time event, I think that it was very well done and will certainly grow in the coming years! The staff was amazing and the locals here know how to have a great family-fun time!
